Step into summer with quiet elegance—cool floors, soft textures, and the art of barefoot luxury at home.
Less Heat, More Hush
Summer doesn’t have to shout. At 17th & Verity, we believe in a quiet kind of summer—the kind that feels soft underfoot and filtered through linen. This is barefoot luxury: minimal, grounded, and deeply sensorial.
Start with the Floors
Cool floors—stone, wood, clay tile—invite barefoot living. Layer in low-pile rugs or woven mats that feel just as good when the AC hums. Summer starts from the ground up.
Swap for Gauzy Layers
Remove the heavy. Add the breathable. This is the season for linen throws, cotton sheers, and bedding that gets better with every wash. Let windows open. Let light move freely.
Edit Down to the Essentials
A few beloved objects on a bare console. A bowl of fresh citrus. One candle that smells like salt or stone. Barefoot luxury means every detail feels chosen, never crowded.
Cool Doesn’t Mean Cold
Keep the palette soft—chalky whites, pale wood, sage, sand. But always add warmth with texture: basket weave, linen napkins, the curve of a ceramic cup. It’s what makes minimal feel lived in.
Let the Season Settle In
Design doesn’t need to announce itself. Sometimes the most luxurious spaces are the ones that let you exhale. Barefoot, rested, and exactly where you want to be.
