A thoughtful approach to spring editing—what to keep, what to refresh, and how to create space with soul.
Design with Breathing Room
Spring isn’t just a time to clean—it’s a time to clear. To let your home exhale. At 17th & Verity, we don’t believe in gutting or restarting. We believe in editing. Here’s how to reset your space with grace, not overwhelm.
What to Store
Start with the heavy layers: cable-knit throws, dark velvets, anything that feels like winter. Fold them with care and pack them in breathable bins or linen bags. Out of sight doesn’t mean forgotten—it just means making room for the season ahead.
What to Style
This is the moment for texture and tone to lighten up: soft linen pillows, pale wood accents, vessels in clay or ceramic. Layer in seasonal greenery—branches, flowering stems, wild bundles that don’t last forever (and aren’t meant to).
What to Let Go
Look gently at what no longer fits. What you’ve outgrown. What you’ve been holding onto just in case. Letting go doesn’t have to be ruthless. It can be reverent. Release what no longer serves the space you’re building now.
Let Your Home Exhale
An edited home doesn’t feel empty—it feels open. Let spring bring softness, light, and a little more space to breathe.
Clear, Then Curate
The most beautiful rooms aren’t full—they’re considered. And spring is the perfect time to consider again.
